What is Viro?

Viro is a free AI app that brings ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Viro's own model, Viro AI, together in one place. You can use it on the web at ai.viro.app and in the iOS and Android apps.

Viro is built around three commitments: clean energy, privacy, and your choice of AI model. It's made by Viro Climate Action, Inc.

Viro includes four models: Viro AI (the default), ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude. You can switch at any point in a conversation, and every model is available on every plan. See AI Models.

When you send a message, Viro passes it, with the conversation so far, to the model you've chosen. Viro AI, the default, sends simple questions to small, efficient models and bigger tasks to larger ones, and runs in data centers powered by 100% clean energy. If a question needs current information, Viro searches the web and shows its sources. If you've set up personalization or memory, Viro uses them when they help. Under every reply, you'll see an estimate of the energy it used.

Yes. The Free plan includes unlimited AI chat with all four models and may show a small sponsored card. The paid Ad-free and Supercharged plans remove ads, and Supercharged multiplies your climate impact 10x.

Viro's own model, Viro AI, runs in data centers powered by 100% clean energy. For every message, Viro shows you an estimate of the energy used and funds new renewable energy to cover it. Viro AI also sends simple questions to small, efficient models, which keeps the energy of each reply down. In the model picker, Viro AI is labeled 100% clean energy, and ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude are labeled Energy matched. Viro's remaining profits fund climate restoration, starting with The Ocean Cleanup.

Viro never sells your data or builds an advertising profile of you. Ads on the Free plan are matched to keywords in the current conversation, never to your identity, and no human reads your chats.

You stay in control of your data:

• Delete any conversation, or your whole chat history, at any time.
• Use Temporary Chat when you don't want a conversation saved.
• Export your data or delete your account.
