Open Viro

    Granola

Connect Granola and ask Viro about your meetings: what was decided, who's doing what next, what someone said, and which meetings you had this week. Viro only reads. It can't edit, share, or delete your notes.

What can Viro do with Granola?

    • Answer what was decided, or who's doing what, across your meetings
    • Find a meeting and read its notes and Granola's summary
    • Show which meetings you had in a stretch of time, with their dates and attendees
    • List your folders, on a paid Granola plan
    • Read the full transcript of a meeting, on a paid Granola plan

    Viro can't:

    • Edit, share, or delete a note
    • Create a meeting or a folder, or change anything else in Granola
    • Read transcripts or folders on Granola's free plan

    How do I connect Granola?

    1. Open Customize > Connectors

Select Customize in the sidebar, then Connectors.
    2. Open Granola and select Connect to Viro

Sign in to Granola and approve the access it asks for.
    3. Check that it's connected

Back in Viro, Granola is listed under Yours.

    What can I ask?

Once it's connected, just ask in any chat. For example:

    • "What did we decide in yesterday's meeting?"
    • "What action items came out of my meetings this week?"
    • "Which meetings did I have this week?"
    • "What did Priya say about the budget in Tuesday's meeting?"

Why can't Viro read my transcripts or folders?

Granola's free plan, called Basic, gives an app only your personal notes from the last 30 days. It has no transcripts and no folders. To read an older meeting, a transcript, or your folders, you need a paid Granola plan. If you ask for something your plan doesn't include, Granola declines and Viro can't read it.

On a paid plan, a workspace admin can also switch transcripts off for AI tools. If they have, Viro can read your notes and summaries but not the transcripts.

Does Viro see what other people said?

Yes, where it's in your notes or transcripts. A meeting's notes and transcript hold what everyone said, not only your own words, so a question about a meeting can bring up what someone else said. Viro looks at a meeting only when you ask about it.

Can Viro change my Granola notes?

No. Viro only looks things up in Granola. It never edits, shares, or deletes a note, and it never changes anything else in your Granola account.

    How do I disconnect Granola?

In Customize > Connectors, open Granola and select Disconnect. This deletes the connection Viro stored. Your past chats aren't deleted. Granola may still list Viro AI as a connected app. If you want it gone there too, remove it in your Granola account settings.

    Is my Granola data private?

Viro reads your Granola data only to answer what you ask. It's never used to train AI models, and Viro never sells your data. Your notes and transcripts include what other people said in your meetings. For a question across your meetings, Viro may pass the question to Granola's own assistant, which answers from your notes.
