iCloud Calendar

Connect iCloud Calendar, the calendar your iPhone, iPad, and Mac use, and Viro can check your schedule, find free time, and add events when you ask.

• Read events from the calendars you choose, including repeating events
• Show iCloud, Google, and Outlook calendars together as one schedule, if you've connected more than one
• Create new events

Viro can't:

• Change or delete existing events
• Reply to invitations

   Open Customize > Integrations

   Select Customize in the sidebar, then Integrations.

   Select Connect on the iCloud Calendar row

   A Connect iCloud window opens. Tick both iCloud Calendar and iCloud Mail to connect them together.

   Create an app-specific password

   Select Open Apple Account settings and sign in. Under Sign-In and Security, choose App-Specific Passwords, create one named Viro AI, and copy it. Apple shows it only once, and your Apple Account needs two-factor authentication.

   Enter your Apple Account email and the password

   Paste the password, then select Connect. Viro checks it with Apple before saving it.

Once it's connected, just ask in any chat. For example:

• "What's on my calendar this week?"
• "Am I free Saturday morning?"
• "Add the dentist on Thursday at 3pm."

Apple doesn't give other apps a sign-in screen for iCloud Calendar or iCloud Mail. An app-specific password is Apple's own way to let an app like Viro reach them. It isn't your Apple Account password, it can't be used to sign in to your Apple Account, and you can remove it whenever you like. One password covers both iCloud Calendar and iCloud Mail, so connecting the second one later doesn't need a new password.

After you connect, your iCloud calendars appear under the iCloud Calendar row, each with a switch. Viro reads the ones that are on, including calendars other people share with you. Reminders lists aren't included.

To the calendar your Apple devices use for new events, unless you name another one, like "put it on my Family calendar." Viro usually confirms the title, date, and time first. If you've connected more than one calendar service and don't say which to use, Viro asks. It can't add events to a calendar someone shared with you as view-only.

The app-specific password was removed, or you changed your Apple Account password, which cancels all of your app-specific passwords. The row then shows Reconnect needed. Create a new app-specific password and connect again. That reconnects iCloud Mail too.
