Chat History

Every saved chat appears in the sidebar, so you can search, reopen, and pick up where you left off. You can rename, pin, move, or delete chats at any time. Temporary Chats are never saved.

In the sidebar, below Projects, you'll see Pinned chats and then all your Chats, newest first. Scroll down and select Load more to see older chats.

Select the magnifying glass at the top of the sidebar (Search chats), or press ⌘K on a Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows. Search matches chat titles and the text of your messages, and highlights where it found your words. Before you type, it shows your Last opened and Recent chats.

In the sidebar, hover over a chat and select …, or right-click it. Then choose:

• Pin conversation — keep it at the top of the sidebar. Pins are saved on the device where you pin them.
• Rename — give it a title that's easier to find.
• Move to project — file it in a project, or remove it from one.

You can also rename or move the chat you have open from the … menu at the top of the chat.

Open the chat's … menu and select Delete, then confirm. Deleting a chat is permanent.

Select your email at the bottom of the sidebar, open Settings, go to Chat History, and select Delete My Chat History. This permanently deletes every saved chat but keeps your account.

Yes. In Settings > Chat History, select Export My Data, then Request Export. After Viro verifies the request, your data is emailed to you. This can take a few days. See Export & Deletion.

To chat without saving anything to your history, use Temporary Chat.
