    Web Search in Chat

    Viro searches the web on its own when a question needs current information, like news, prices, sports, or weather, and shows the sources it used. You don't need to turn anything on.

    Does Viro search the web automatically?

    Yes. When you ask about something recent or that changes often, Viro looks it up and answers with what it found. For questions it can answer from what it already knows, it skips the search.

    If an answer should be current and isn't, ask again and say so, for example "search the web for the latest results."

    How do I see the sources?

    • Under the reply. Website icons show the sources Viro used. Select +N to see them all.
    • For the whole chat. Open the … menu at the top of the chat and select View Files / Sources, then the Sources tab.

    Can I see regular web results instead of an AI answer?

    Yes, in either of these ways:

    • In a chat, switch the toggle at the top from AI Chat to Web Search.
    • Select + > Web search. From the home screen, this opens Viro Search. See Web Search.

    Should I use web search or Research?

    Use regular chat for quick, current answers. Use Research when you want a longer, structured report built from many sources.

    Web sources can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Check the sources before relying on important information.
