Skills

Skills are ready-made instructions that change how Viro answers, like "polish this email" or "turn these notes into action items." Use one by typing / in the message box. Viro has 19 built-in skills, and you can create up to 30 of your own.

• Type / in the message box. Keep typing to filter, then pick the skill. It appears as a pill above your message.
• Use the + menu. Select + > Skills to see My skills and All Skills.
• Start from the gallery. In Customize > Skills, select a skill to open a new chat with it ready to go.

Then add what you're working on, like your draft or your notes, and send. A skill applies to that one message. Pick it again to use it on the next one.

• Writing: General Writing, Email Writing, Email Polish, SEO Blog Writing, Social Post Writing, Caption Generator, Story Starter
• Work: Plan My Week, Planning, Resume Tune-up, Meeting Notes → Action Items, Roast My Idea
• Analysis: Document Analysis, Docs Q&A, Data Extraction, Spreadsheet Analysis
• Thinking: Reasoning, Math, Explain Like I'm 5, Coding

Browse them all in Customize > Skills, where you can search and filter by category. Select Make a copy on any built-in skill to start your own version of it.

   Open Customize > Skills

   Select New skill.

   Fill in the details

   • Icon (optional emoji)
   • Name, up to 60 characters
   • Slash command: lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens, up to 50 characters, like /meeting-notes
   • Description, up to 300 characters, shown in the skill picker
   • Instructions, up to 12,000 characters: what Viro should do every time

   Select Create skill

   It's ready to use with / in any chat.

To change or remove one of your skills, open it in Customize > Skills and edit or delete it. Deleting a skill also removes its slash command.

Sometimes. If your request clearly fits a built-in skill or one of yours, Viro may apply it without you picking it, so a request like "clean up this email" can get Email Polish automatically.

• Be specific. Say what "better" means: tone, length, structure, format.
• Define the output. For example, "Use sections for Decisions, Action Items, and Open Questions."
• One skill, one job. Focused skills are easier to reuse.
• Write for a new teammate. Someone with no context should be able to follow it.
