Research

Research reads the live web and turns up to 12 sources into one cited report. Use it when a question needs more than a quick answer. You can run 5 research reports a day on every plan.

   Open the + menu

   It's next to the message box.

   Select Research

   The menu shows how many reports you have left today. A Research pill appears in the message box.

   Ask your question and send it

   Be specific about what you want to know, and the time period or region if it matters.

Sometimes a chat reply suggests Research for a deeper answer. Select Research there to start one. To cancel before sending, select the × on the Research pill.

• Summary — the short answer
• Findings — the details, with sources credited as you read
• Confidence and gaps — how solid the evidence is and what's still unclear
• Sources — the list of pages the report drew on

Longer than a normal reply, because Viro searches, reads, and organizes several sources before writing. While it works, you'll see steps like Searching the web…, Reading sources…, and Writing report….

5 per day, on every plan. The count resets at midnight UTC. When you've used them all, Research is greyed out in the + menu with the message Daily research limit reached.

Each report is saved in the chat where you ran it, so it's in your chat history. To reuse a report elsewhere, select Copy under it.

Regular chat already searches the web for quick, current answers (see Web Search in Chat). Choose Research for comparisons, market and company research, policy questions, travel planning, and other topics where you want evidence from several sources. Reports are written by Viro AI, whichever model you've selected.

Sources can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Check the cited pages before relying on important information.
